My grandfather, born anno 1900, was a Jew who lived in Arnhem. Because he was married to a non-Jewish Dutch woman, he was not sent to Auschwitz - but to labour camps in NL instead. He survived WWII, but his relatives were murdered by the Nazi's - some of them may possibly be found in https://victims.auschwitz.org/victims?pattern=van+Straten.
I am 100% sure that he would have been DISGUSTED if his photograph, or of his relatives, were te be FACEBOOKED on the internet, in a despicable "which cutie gets most boosts' contest, notably for SICKENING HASBARA PURPOSES.

Since my ski accident in March, my brain has been infuriatingly blurring out people's identities from my memories. Not all of course, but enough that I am noticing it and that it creates a problem for me – remembering who had said what, who had done what, and who was who is one of my superpowers, and it really sucks to have to function without it. Hopefully, like the suspension of my #facebook account, this is not a permanent loss. #concussion

Sometime back, there was a #Facebook campaign doing the rounds for the wrongful account suspension of somebody either famous or micro-famous (or influential in some way within my social circles). The person had tagged Mark Zuckerberg in it, in hopes that it would result in a reversal. IIRC the account was restored (or was it a Page, a Group, again, can't remember the details). Can anybody remember who it was? If it was somebody I know I'd like to get in touch with them.

#Meta is destroying the #social structure of our #society. just can assume, that others as well have a hard time being triggered by their apps (#whatsapp, #facebook, #instagram...etc) and getting their selves together after just a few minutes interacting with them. I almost stopped using all of them, but was almost obliged to contact someone there. just a few moments and it gave me all the fakeness of people in my face, that i know and dont want to see - these shitty apps do nothing but harm.
