Una adicción se define como un problema de salud que afecta negativamente a la calidad de vida de quien la sufre, afectando el comportamiento, el cerebro y la conducta, tiene la caracteristica de ir por una búsqueda patológica de la recompensa o alivio a través del uso de un satisfactor, sea este una actividad o bien, una sustancia, llegando a un grado de dependencia tal que genera ansiedad o estados alterados de pensar y actuar cuando se es privado de dicho satisfactor.
De acuerdo con un artículo de la Universidad de Harvard explica que la dopamina es un químico producido por nuestros cerebros que tiene un papel relevante en el comportamiento motivador. “Se libera cuando mordemos un alimento delicioso, cuando tenemos sexo, después de ejercitarnos y, aún más importante, cuando tenemos interacciones que consideramos exitosas", en ese sentido, para el cerebro, cada comentario, cada like, cada me gusta dentro de redes sociales privativas cono facebook o twitter es considerado como exito, por lo consecuente, se segrega una cierta cantidad de dopamina, conviertiendolo en un satisfactor, esto puede llegar a ser un problema, ya que el cerebro y el organismo en general, llegan a habituarse e incluso a depender de cierta cantidad de dopamina diaria, incluso a ir aumentando dicha cantidad gradualmente, segun algunos expertos, esto es equiparable a una adiccion, y no a cualquier tipo de adiccion, puede ser tan perniciosa como la adiccion a la heroina o cocaina.
