I just received an email to confirm my settlement status regarding the #Facebook #ClassAction #privacy #lawsuit over #CambridgeAnalyitica , and I imagine that if any of you also filed in 2023 when you were notified, you should be getting yours own emails soon.
It's not a one-size-fits-all payout. It's based on your total user time on the platform, with 1 month being equal to 1 "allocation point"... so 2 years = 24 points.
It's still going to be a pittance overall.

Die Forscher John Sattizahn und Cayce Savage haben als Angestellte von Meta die Auswirkungen von VR-Technologie auf die Nutzer:innen untersucht. Dabei ist das hier vorgefallen:
Dort soll eines der beiden Kinder gesagt haben, dass Erwachsene seinen jüngeren Bruder mehrfach in Virtual Reality sexuell bedrängt hätten. Die Mutter wusste nichts davon. Nach dem Interview seien die Forscher von ihrem Vorgesetzten aufgefordert worden, die Aufzeichnung sowie alle schriftlichen Protokolle zu löschen.
