You know.. I quite like #facebook #Messenger for chatting with people.
I mean I don't.. but the presence info is really useful..
When you have an older single vulnerable friend, who you worry about, and you notice that they haven't opened their curtains for a few days, you can see that they have logged into Facebook 7 minutes ago, and you can realise they are on holiday.
Also the opposite.
My friend was poorly and now he's going to hospital.

Little acts of resistance matter. For example, if your team, community group, etc is staying in touch through a Facebook group, ask (politely) if it would be possible to switch to an e-mail list instead. There's a good chance no one has ever even raised the point before.
The more groups move off Facebook, the fewer people will feel "stuck" there, and the less tempting it will be for other groups to stay.
