I liked or shared a post from a recommended group, that means I effectively signed up to their news letter and I have loyalty to them for life! Oh Im a to commentator and won a badge this week! Im awesome!
Why are we all still here? This place is garbage, I want to see what you all have to say, not unrelated stuff the want to shove down my throat, exactly why I dropped threads after a week. Bl*esky or M*stod*n are the only truely social media sites left. Let me know if you have one there. I could see this post being buried by the ai easily

This year, #facebook has monetized posting so much that you can't believe anything you see on there without fact checking it first. Does it sound like something beloved famous person might plausibly say? Gonna attribute it to them for money!!! Before you could give the benefit of the doubt to certain things but with this monetization, just assume everything of bullshit until proven true or has a link attached. Why I stick with the fediverse or bluesky (actually both using a bridge feature). Both x and meta are now lying dumpster fires of paid false information. Since this policy came into place i feel dumber and less informed when I'm there.
