Docker images in the pandoc/latex and pandoc/extra repositories have often had missing packages. The reason was the release of TeXLive 2026 and, what appears to be, a moody archive server for TeXLive 2025.
The “latest” images, which contain the newest pandoc 3.9.0.2, come with TeXLive 2026 and should work fine.

Apologies to everybody inconvenienced by this.

Hey! I want to hand out a custom programmed that should be updatable with newer versions. I could go the OTA route, but I don't really like that the ESP has to access the internet for that including the hassle with certificate expiry and all that. I would much prefer a way where I can provide the new binary blob on a web server which then can be accessed by the user to Update the ESP via - is there a ready-to-use solution for that already, preferably as a image?

We spend 40 hours a week building resilient, distributed systems at work, then come home and spend our weekends fighting a single Raspberry Pi because a microSD card decided to retire early.

Is the "Single Board Computer" era of self-hosting over? Between mini-PCs (N100s) being cheap and cloud egress fees dropping, I'm starting to think the "Pi in a closet" is more of a hobbyist tax than a real infrastructure solution.

What’s the "stable" baseline for a home lab in 2026? Are you still team ARM, or have you moved to retired enterprise tiny-PCs?

Run Ollama as a reproducible single-node LLM server using Docker Compose. Configure OLLAMA_HOST and OLLAMA_MODELS, keep models on persistent volumes, enable NVIDIA GPUs, and upgrade safely with rollbacks.

Are you #selfhosting an #email server?

I just published a #Docker image for the latest #Postfix release 3.11.1, based on #archlinux. It contains some bug fixes.

The email server is fully customizable. For usage on a Virtual Private Server (#VPS). Just use the Docker registry provided by the project. 👇

#homelab gurus! I am considering replacing our old #Synology DS1525 with a #TrueNAS, mostly because I want to run #Immich, #Paperlessngx, and #jellyfin on it without having to deal with Syno's out-of-date #Docker implementation.

If you're running TrueNAS, two questions:

1) how hard was it to get automated backups of #Windows and #Linux systems set up? I do appreciate Syno's built-in backup tools.

2) how bad an idea would it be to run these compute loads on the NAS vs a separate compute node? We are *not* heavy users - just the two of us and we're pretty casual about home use, so it feels like loads would be pretty minimal...

Any thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Had a consultation with claude:

ddev would be a solution, but with docker-compose I could use a shared mysql database and save RAM.

Therefore the leaner stack would be: n8n, docker compose on a Hetzner CAX31

„The 16GB RAM matters — each Craft preview stack (PHP + nginx + MySQL + Redis) eats roughly 500MB–1GB idle, so 8GB limits you to ~4 concurrent previews, 16GB gives you ~8–10.“

And my question: „Does anybody use such a Setup with automatic / ephemeral preview environments? Why is it not common in the craft cms community?“
