I want to suggest a new, low impact, manual #AI technology. It achieves the same as energy consuming #LLM models.
Want to write a happy birthday note to someone, but do not have time? You could ask ChatGPT to write it, and you get a long, seemingly personal note that isn't. Need to illustrate something but cannot draw, AI can spew something up, at a high cost of resource usage.
My suggestion: "Short form AI"!
Instead of writing a "happy birthday" prompt and sending whatever #ChatGPT spewed out, write:
YouAI("Happy Birthday")
The receiver will, upon receiving this, "generate" (think of) whatever happy birthday message they want. They will be able to create the best fitting message, the one that makes them most happy, instead of some random vomit from ChatGPT.
Need to illustrate a book but cannot afford an artist? Instead of asking AI to spew shit out, leave a blank space where art should be, with the text like:
YouAI("Bird on branch")
And the reader can imagine the perfect image!
GenIUS, right???

I deployed one of my pet projects under a new domain, available publicly.
Few *minutes* after doing so, OpenAI (GPTBot/1.3) started hammering it with HTTP requests.
I can't even comprehend how this is possible.
The project is deployed to a wildcard subdomain, which I created shortly before deploying the service. I have definitely not announced the subdomain anywhere.
Is one of my upstream DNS servers sending requests to OpenAI? Or is it Firefox? Or Let's Encrypt? Or macOS?
