Dann ist mir aufgefallen, wie gut #KI in unsere Zeit passt: Im Brustton der Überzeugung haut ChatGPT eine vollständige Anleitung raus, die komplett postfaktisch ist. Sie hat mit der Realität nichts zu tun, klingt aber überzeugend.
Erinnert mich an Politik.

OpenAI plant Hardware ohne Displays für 2026. Das Design stammt von Jony Ive, Codename Gumdrop. Der Fokus liegt komplett auf Audio-Modellen mit emotionaler Tiefe und geringer Latenz. Produktion läuft über Foxconn, explizit nicht in China. Ziel ist die Verringerung der Smartphone-Abhängigkeit. Does anyone ever think about how when the #AIBubble inevitably pops and a lot of these scummy #AI companies go under, how probably the majority, if not all those predatory chatbot sites will shut down and how bad the fallout will be for people dependent on them? Like, think back to when #ChatGPT 5 came out and how it dumbed the #LLM down and how upset people were, or when the company that owns #Replika lowkey lobotomized the bot and put the more realistic features and patterns behind paywalls and how people revolted.
But what would happen if they were shutdown entirely? These chatbots are specifically designed to prey on vulnerable people and get those people hopelessly dependent on the bots. What will happen when the one emotional support someone has gets taken away for good for millions of people? I shudder to think about it, and it's just yet another reason to add to the laundry list on why #GenerativeAI is harmful.

@dashremover I genuinely find #ChatGPT incredibly useful for doing a lot of systems work (though GPT 4o is _much_ better than 5.2), but I have to treat it as though I just got an idiot savant operator forced upon me on a Youth Training Scheme programme.
Generally, it's amazing, it can do #Windows command line stuff I had no idea was even possible, and it's amazing at installing things on obscure and obsolete #Unix setups, but you still have to check every single thing it does that you know isn't reversible.
I use GPT a lot, and with the switch from 4 to 5, I think #OpenAI has been pretty reckless, ironically, if you ask #GPT why, it will tell you. It's geared towards generating conversation and interaction rather than just following instructions cleanly - And I guess wiping out all of your users' files is a talking point that could generate loads of fun data for the OpenAI datamoles.

I wonder how much damage ChatGPT (in this case, 5.2) causes to people who follow its instructions without checking.
In this case, I saw where it was heading and was curious if it would just tell me to wipe out all my files, so I went with it. And it did.
It's told me to do some pretty destructive things in the past which I have caught, but casually wiping out an entire instance with all of its user-data and trying to frame that as "good news" and pointing out that I should "Accept the loss as done" (which to be fair, would be the only possible action in this case) is about as dangerous as it gets.

Today, using Script Debugger and #ChatGPT, I wrote and debugged an #AppleScript for use as part of a #Hazel rule. I hooked the script to the AI chat for future reference. Another huge use case for #hookmark.
Unfortunately, Hazel is not [link-friendly](https://hookproductivity.com/help/integration/data-linkability-and-why-it-matters/) so I couldn't hook these two resources to the Hazel rule.
