Corporate, algorithmic social media (#Meta / #TikTok / #BlueSky) will always snitch on you as soon as someone asks them to. They’ll just comply in advance or suspend your account yet people still use them.
The same folks who insist on using these platforms “because of reach” are also the ones posting uncensored photos of themselves and friends at protests, again snitching on themselves and others irresponsibly as well as sharing their device contact list with these apps. https://mastodon.social/@verge/115435202283610716

I'm really impressed with Steph's analysis. (is she on here yet?) #Pinterest is mostly shoppable and sponsored content. Social media should connect us with other people and their ideas. It's more fun, and healthy that way.
