The Fediverse seems to be cool with scammers, because I and 5 others came forward, and we've all had our accounts either limited, suspended, or terminated.

Let that sink in. -- It's not just me anymore who has come forward.

The Fediverse, which should be better than Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Blue Sky, seems to be protecting the scammers.

There is proof of their nonsense and their mistakes. All void.

19 Gaza dummy account.

They're all going to claim to be from Gaza, and they're all going to claim to need help.

Since scammers are a protected group on the Fediverse, I'm sure no one will mind.

The Philosophical Debates (Kay-Kingsbury Edition)

Andrew Kay (novaTopFlex) is currently in multiple ongoing philosophical arguments involving Alexander Kingsbury, Mojo, and MrLee on Mastodon, all under a common core of shared beliefs for—or against—capitalism. While novaTopFlex fears infinite growth and the criminalization of genuine friendship and authenticity as well as forced conformity to traditional roles in society, Kingsbury claims that capitalism contains no demands for infinite growth nor for related concerns. In addition, Mojo […]

Annoyingly, it seems like the ActivityPub Fuzzer wants to run over HTTPS, and there's no obvious way to persuade it to run on, for example, localhost, port 3000 with plain old HTTP. The supported use case seems to be fuzzer on public URL ↔︎ server on public URL, which is more trouble than it's worth, right now.

This article provides a guide for how to install Pixelfed on Ubuntu VPS.

I’m setting up the ActivityPub Fuzzer. What’s not clear to me is whether or not this thing can run over localhost on two different ports or whether a proxy is required.

It would be one thing if I had no proof. If I were just a random making wild claims without any documentation, of course, that would be nonsense.

But I have proof. I have seen this first hand and even took the risk of sharing things from work to back up.

This place is supposed to be better than Blue Sky, Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit --- Right?

If so, why embrace and protect scammers as if they were a protected class of people?

Unfortunately, the administrator at social.tchncs.de is acting like a coward.

Pointing out a confirmed scammer is not racism, sexism, or any kind of discrimination.

What is happening in Gaza is horrific. I have never doubted this. What Israel has done to these innocent people is a crime against humanity.

But a scam that hides itself as support is also wrong. That, too, is an injustice.

I need a platform that does not give weight to false reports. Especially when there is clear evidence — photos and videos — that a scam exists, it should be acknowledged and addressed.

If Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter can recognize such scams with proof, surely the Fediverse can do the same.

Another great topic by @fedihost regarding #algorithms ... not the bad kind;) That could make the #fediverse an easier transition to newcomers and established users alike.
