#Eventbrite to be acquired by #BendingSpoons, following their acquisition of #Meetup.com which caused many users to migrate to Eventbrite in the first place. I think at this point if becomes very obvious that the #Fediverse is the best place to coordinate your meetups, and you have many options to choose from: #Mobilizon, #Gancio and even #Wordpress with the #ActivityPub Event Bridge plugin. Everyone knows Bending Spoon's playbook, enshittification is inevitable.

Enshittification consists of four stages:
1. Platforms are good for users
2. Platforms abuse users to be good for business customers
3. Platforms abuse business customers to keep all the profit
4. Platforms die

Signed up on their demo instance, posted one post a few weeks ago.
Thought to visit the site again and it's impossible to load the one post i made on my profile. Post still exists in their Explore feed.
Perhaps in another 2 years it will work but after 2 years of being up and running and that being how well it works, i've admittedly lost interest in it.

I also want to see #activitypub get some of the primitives that #atproto has such as decentralized identifiers (except for real), personal data stores, content addresses, etc. I want to see both protocols cross-pollinate with each other's strengths. And perhaps share infrastructure like identities.
