"why "don't read the comments" should be a Rule of the Internet" - I get what you're saying, but just to point out the other side to that, there are a lot of #disinformation spreaders on #Youtube for example - I call them the #Disinformati - and the comments is where you find people #FactChecking their rubbish. Think "Notes" at the old place. I saw one who disabled commenting on his #blog because he got tired of people pointing out, with #proof , that he was wrong! 😂

The #YouTube algorithm can still show you pretty cool stuff, if you can wrangle it well enough to keep it from shoving fascist propaganda in your face.
Case in point: it just suggested this extremely fedi-coded #music video (if that's the right word) of a guy live mixing a track in a #terminal application.
His terminal output is on the screen, so you can actually see him comment out lines of code and hear the music change because of it.
Sure, I would've preferred he use Forgejo instead of Github, but I won't let "perfect" get in the way of "good".

Si usáis #MullvadVPN (que si no la usáis no se que hacéis con vuestra vida), los subtítulos de #YouTube puede que no funcionen porque #Google es una gran empresa, 100% ética #ironía. Para solucionarlo, cambiad a países así raros, tipo Chipre.
Siempre podéis usar la extensión, para cambiar solo Youtube.
If you use #Mullvad VPN (and if you don't, I don't know what you're doing with your life), #YouTube subtitles might not work because #Google is a great company, 100% ethical #sarcasm. To fix it, switch to weird countries like Cyprus.
You can always use the extension to change only Youtube.
