I purchased multiple licenses of Simply Static Pro for #WordPress and it works fairly well for small websites. But it is far too slow for a personal blog like mine with a lot of posts (30 minute build times, 🥵). And their support refuses to help unfortunately.
When I built my own SSG it took 12-seconds or less.
Does anyone have a WordPress-compatible solution that I can use locally and deploy remotely?

If your host allows ssh ... INSTALL, *LEARN* and FUCKING USE wp-cli ... for fuck's sake.
I don't log in to WordPress if I can possibly avoid it.
If I NEED in, as Admin? Look, I can make an account from the CLI without you.
I can install, and DISABLE, plugins.
I can do most of what you do in wp-admin from the command line. It is faster and less irritating than the damned WebUI.

@Mario an #Hedgedoc habe ich zuerst auch gedacht, aber sofort verworfen für diese User-Gruppe wg Markdown. @timo Langer Dateiname ok, aber bei Änderungen desselben dann schlecht zu koordinieren. @fexplorer Das Plugin wäre der Lösung am nächsten, aber ich hab so wenig Zeit.
Weitere Idee: ein #Etherpad-Plugin für #Wordpress kombiniert mit Zugangskontrolle.

Finding myself again on #foss paradox: "made by the community for the community", excluding people with visual disabilities.
I found the @ONLYOFFICE suite in a blog I'm following, Italian-speaking space where they collect useful online apps for every need - @WebAppsMagazine
From explanations and reviews it's a very good suite and I would have no doubt on this. But, being totally blind, I noticed I can't use it either on desktop (web-based) or on iOS app, due to complete lack of accessibility features so I uninstalled it. Too bad.
Now, I found the new PCloud editor (PCloud is the cloud plan I'm using to store my texts) and I found same inaccessibility as OnlyOffice. I asked the support team, and they confirmed "yes, our document editor is a collaboration with OnlyOffice".
So I am taking the chance to "ping" the office suite's team in order for them to allow us blind users to enjoy their platform too - PCloud or not.
I'd even ask to the whole fediverse accessibility related spaces to take a moment and ask OnlyOffice to take this step and empower us to use their products as well.
UPDATE: even trying to use @nextcloud 's collaboration editor platform, but it has very similar accessibility issues. Damn, @WordPress has made it with its Gutenberg editor, despite bugs happening here and there. Why on earth shouldn't other editors think of accessibility?
Don't say "I didn't think / I didn't know" because in 2025 this rethoric is no longer acceptable.
