The #1 WordPress speed tip everywhere: "install a caching plugin."
But caching only hides the problem. If your uncached page takes 4 seconds, your first visitor still waits 4 seconds. Every cache miss = full pain.
Fix the source. Then cache.

But maybe more importantly, could my reader app @wallabag be made to work with it? I thought we'd have #ghost and #wordpress doing it by now. Maybe they do.
