Following up on my last WebView tutorial, this one dives deeper with SwiftUI’s WebPage: dynamic titles, progress bars, inline media, and advanced navigation.

I'm making a seasonal anime guide app, in the open for all to experience and learn from.

Started noticing some data loss when inputing data, so let's investigate today!

Am I just stupid or is there actually no way to automatically focus the .searchable search field in the new iOS 26 tab bar like Apple's HIG talk about here in native SwiftUI without fiddling with the underlying UIKit?

Keeping ViewBuilders small is easier said than done.

I kinda wish there was an error message when they started to get too…

…no, not like that. #SwiftUI

TIL in #SwiftUI using `.fill(Color.clear)` or `.fill(Color.white.opacity(0))` disables interactions on the view...

My workaround: `.fill(Color.white.opacity(0.0001))` 🤭

And here are some screenshots of the Widgets and App Shortcuts available in the new PDX Transit.

Widgets provide shortcuts to your bookmarked transit stops or major parts of the app while the App Shortcuts provide arrival times and alerts for bookmarked transit stops.

I'm getting kinda nervous... the SwiftUI version of PDX Transit is like 99.8% done. Just looking around to what else I have to do + adjusting UI here & there.

• All in SwiftUI
• Uses Swift Data + iCloud sync
• Uses the ML Translations API to translate alerts for you
• Has App Intents + Shortcuts (and HomePod support)
• Apple Watch app
• iPad-only layout
• Apple Maps look-around for transit stops
• Liquid Glass support
• Various Widget types

Ran up into some issues trying to make a type auto decode from nil… Tomorrow let's see what the damage will be if we leave it as is, and continue from there. See you then!
