It's not really adding security; but it keeps your logs less "noisy" 🤩 Use #fail2ban to block those brute-force attackers trying to login with a password. And do only allow login #ssh with a #key !

Unmasking an Attack Chain of MuddyWater
An intrusion attributed to MuddyWater, an Iranian-linked APT, was identified in a customer environment. The attack involved initial access through RDP, establishing an SSH tunnel, and deploying malware via DLL side-loading. The threat actor used FMAPP.exe, a legitimate Fortemedia Inc. application, to load a malicious FMAPP.dll for C2 communications. The timeline of activities revealed typos in commands, suggesting manual typing by the attacker. The intrusion included reconnaissance efforts, attempts to verify tunnel functionality, and issues with initial C2 communication. The attack targeted an Israeli company, aligning with known MuddyWater tactics.

When working with fancy terminal emulators (foot, kitty, Ghostty, etc.) over SSH, you may encounter glitches because of missing terminfo on the remote machine.
To fix it, you need to transfer your terminfo.

The pi zero #lora #rnode is connected to the laptop via a hotspot that the pi zero generates to serve #reticulum #meshchat. Ich habe befürchtet das Du das sagst.
Das hat aber nichts mit #Linux zu tun.
Das ist eine Besonderheit der #Suse Distribution.
Auch wenn man die Verwaltung der Programme verschiedene Tools überlasst geht das natürlich mal in die Hose.
Auch verstehe ich nicht das die Verwaltung des Pcs lästig ist.
Per #ssh darauf zugreifen dauert maximal 2 Minuten und geht sogar vom Smartphone aus.
Allerdings hätte ich was stabileres wie #Debian als #Suse genommen.
