#Mastodon has had its own problems with burying pro-#Palestine voices and platforming Zionists. Some gave suggested that it is because the flagship instance (mastodondotsocial) is based in #Germany and relies on a Germany-based nonprofit for funding. We’ve seen how Germany polices pro-Palestine movements in its streets.

This is not a defense of other platforms, but it is to say that I don’t have any sense of security here either.

AI is not sophisticated about a lot of things but it can recognize patterns.

Whether it’s photos or anything that identifies you or your location, consider these Questions before posting…

These things with centralized platforms boggle me.

The platform itself is, in my mind, not accountable for just as someone on your property saying whatever they want. And this it is subject to the owner's rules.

The platforms portray the illusion, but at the core, they reserve the right to boot you.

People should not be using the platforms... particularly when that money the platform owners make goes to what is being protested.
