Warum bringen wir Kindern bei, am Spielplatz nicht mit Fremden zu sprechen, lassen sie aber im Netz ohne „Führerschein“ allein?
Es ist Zeit für einen Paradigmenwechsel: Wir müssen nicht unsere Kinder vor dem Internet schützen, sondern unsere Kinder fit für das Internet machen. Gesunder Menschenverstand und Aufklärung sind die stärksten Filter, die es gibt.
Gleichzeitig stehen die Plattformen in der Pflicht: Wenn KIs Bananen auf Fotos erkennen können, warum versagen Jugendschutzfilter dann immer noch bei expliziten Inhalten? Technik muss Verantwortung übernehmen, statt nur Daten zu sammeln.

An interesting precedent has been set in a court Los Angeles; a jury has awarded $3mn compensatory damages to a 20 year-old plaintiff who claimed social media had harmed his mental health when he was young.
While Snap & TikTok made out of court settlements before the trial Google & Meta thought they could win in court - they didn't.
Now, they will likely appeal, but this looks like a chink in the legal armour of Big Tech which may widen quite quickly. Watch this space!

Why not now decentralize your tech.
Get a digital alarm click, get a watch, get a DVD/vcr player combo, (or just get a blueray) get a calculator.
Does this mean get rid of your smartphone entirely, I would advise against going cold turkey, but by reducing basic function use on them and replacing with other alternatives you could curve your time spent on smartphone devices, and not look at a screen as much.
