There's a lot in here. This article about social media as it relates to the Kirk shooting makes me glad the Fediverse is different from the commercial platforms and free of programmatic algorithms. (We remain at risk of echo chambers, but that's a human predilection.) It also makes me curious about the notion that the interviews noted in the filing documents are somehow fabricated or false, according to "social media pundits on the left."
Notably absent from the article are the direct quotes from Kirk himself, the most notable to me being the incredible (and ultimately ironic) statement that shooting deaths are worth it to preserve the Second Amendment. (I wonder if this omission is the result of the chilling effect of the fascist administration's attacks on free speech.)
