Throughout the month of November, I'm taking social media breaks to support the No So November movement. For No So November, you can take a day, a week, or a month break from social media platforms!
Technology and social networks can be used in positive ways, but as we all know, many profit-driven platforms aren't supporting our health. Taking a break gives your brain and spirit a rest from it all.
Although I made a few exceptions this month by opening a sunny.garden Mastodon account, and a research account at the Center for Open Science, I've also taken break days without using social media. And I closed accounts I no longer use or need, so I feel I'm making progress!
