“When ASIO’s director-general, #MikeBurgess, delivered the annual #LowyLecture earlier this month, he made effective use of the rule of three.
He clearly identified the service’s most pressing security concerns: “#espionage, #ForeignInterference and #PoliticallyMotivated #violence”. He spoke of how these three threats are being accelerated by rapid advances in #technology, where the “#Internet incubates, #SocialMedia accelerates, [and] artificial intelligence exacerbates”.
He also identified three distinct cohorts of people challenging Australia’s social cohesion: “the #aggrieved, the #opportunistic, and the #cunning”. But it was the last three that got everyone’s attention. He revealed that “#ASIO assesses there is a realistic #possibility” that there are at least three nations who “will attempt to #assassinate a #PerceivedDissident in #Australia”.”

Yes, I still have a FB account. And yes, I have deleted my FB account multiple times over the years. I've been keeping it for family/friend communication.
Recently, I decided to start dropping "Friends" with whom I had little interaction. Which turned out to be mostly my closest family, including my daughters. Yeah: that stings. But things are what they are.

Dicen que las lágrimas que se ven son las que menos pesan, porque al menos encuentran un cauce para escapar. Pero hay otras… esas que nadie nota, las que se derraman hacia adentro, que no humedecen la piel pero sí desgastan el alma. Son silenciosas, invisibles, pero dejan marcas que no se borran con un pañuelo.
La lágrima que cae del corazón no hace ruido al caer, pero su eco se queda dando vueltas dentro de uno. Es la que aparece cuando finges estar bien, cuando sonríes para no preocupar a nadie, cuando repites “no pasa nada” mientras por dentro se desmorona un mundo que nadie más conoce.
Esa lágrima nace de lo que callaste, de lo que perdiste, de lo que esperaste y nunca llegó.
Y duele más porque nadie la ve.
Porque no hay abrazo que llegue a tiempo, ni palabra que pueda detenerla.
Porque no se llora por los ojos, se llora por dentro: por los recuerdos que pesan, por los vacíos que quedaron, por las historias que no terminaron como el corazón imaginó.
Pero incluso esas lágrimas tienen un propósito.
Limpian el alma, la hacen más sabia, más fuerte, más humana.
Son el recordatorio de que sentir no es debilidad, sino la prueba más honesta de que aún queda vida latiendo dentro.
Y un día, sin darte cuenta, esa lágrima silenciosa deja de caer.
Porque el alma, cansada de romperse, vuelve a aprender a brillar.
Y tú, sin anunciarlo, vuelves a encontrarte.
