So this #Gotosocial instance is running on an old Zotac Zbox ID18 that I bought way back in 2018. It has 2gb ram and a 64gb ssd drive. Should be sufficient, I hope.

I have quite a complex routing setup at home and I struggle to get reverse proxy to work. As a solution I am using a Cloudflare Tunnel to run it on the web. So far it works well.

My first thought reading about social media bans on under 16s: we should ban social media for over 20s. Everything that’s fucked up in world politics for the past 15 years is because adults are not mature enough to use social media responsibly. The problem is not kids on Instagram, it’s all the old farts on Twitter. #socialmedia #ban #politics

Does LinkedIn have a gender problem?

After a new algorithm was rolled out earlier this year many women on LinkedIn spotted drops in followers & views of posts... prompting some to pretend to be men, by re-joining using more male language & identifiers; and their profiles regained the levels previously seen as women.

Of course, LinkedIn deny any gender-related shift, but many women on the site see it as yet one more aspect of gender discrimination.
