Definitely preaching to the choir here, but old school forums and websites are 100% better than any modern #socialmedia platform.
And I believe there are 3 reasons for that:
1. The moderation is better, because the moderators are actually people with experience in a topic, and real stakes behind what they do. They understand context that corporate teams do not.
2. The more general subject area and smaller communities mean you get to know people better, since you discuss multiple things.
