Is it possible to setup a headless #raspberrypi OS anymore without their installer? With bookworm, they changed to using a custom.toml file in /boot/ that could configure SSH, WiFi, and user accounts. I tried the same thing that worked before with trixie and it boots to a configure user accounts GUI and WiFi is not configured.

My cabinet has an LED marquee inside connected to a that lets me launch scripts to change the marquee art per-game, along with jamma wiring and a PC inside. The marquee will automatically update depending on the game, but when it's not in use, it'll play little art gifs from games, like this one from CD:

@zep

If by "different accounts" you mean "different people," then #Nextcloud has the multi-user framework and permissions model established to share files and databases among multiple users. I #selfhost it on a #RaspberryPi 5 at home. Then we can choose between a shared markdown file, or a table, or the Kanban-like task-tracking app "Deck" to create a shopping list.

My significant other and I have standardized on the "Deck" app, and it works well for shared shopping lists.

This is prolly a hella noob ques lol but is it not possible to get License plate recognition working on the #RaspberryPi, locally? I feel like that'd be kinda neat but looking into doing this so far seems to always involve #Google #AI or something like that which.. does not interest me at all.

Allo DigiOne Signature SPDIF board for Raspberry Pi

The Raspberry Pi is used a lot as a network bridge and that’s great. But it does have sound quality limits, although these are more and more tackled by manufacturers like Allo. As with this SPDIF board for the Pi.
