@thomzane I've been looking at this a bit and haven't found a way to easily jam network-config or even user-data (which rpi-imager uses). Have you sorted this?

@thomzane Yes, of course it is! https://github.com/gitbls/sdm lets you do exactly that (plus a lot more!) by customizing an IMG and then burning that to a disk for booting. It's easy to get started, and has a rich set of features.
Worth adding that rpi-imager can also be used to build headless systems if you spend some quality time with it.

@okurth I've had a Pi controlling our garage doors for about 10 years, using some python code I discovered. Unfortunately, now it's running on a PI3B with **Buster** because the Python code is Python2, and there are always more fun things to do than updating moldy Python code 🤣

This is not just about garage openers.
Having said that - I use a #Raspberry Pi to control our garage door, and that connects with #homeassistant . Works great - I can see the status in the web UI, I can open or close it with an RF tag with my phone, or open it automatically when our car arrives at home. But a garage door is simple - other devices are much more complex.

@Andi_Berlin mit meinem Raspberry Pi kann man radiostreams per Sprache abspielen 'radio ein' spielt den Radiosender ab und 'radio aus' stellt es wieder aus. I actually spaced these apart when submitting so they wouldn't be published right next to each other, but apparently my editor had other ideas: a *different* power meter using the same TI current monitoring chip, but with a #RaspberryPi Pico alongside it - and the added bonus of doubling as a 1.2-35V benchtop power supply, too.
