This week I have retired a Raspberry Pi and replaced it with an ESP32 micro controller, just some sensor measurements.
13 Years. It has served me well for 13 years. After ordering I had to wait for 3 or 4 months until it arrived, it was a game changer at that time!
Low power usage, quite okay performance and a full Linux. I have used it as a media center connected to my TV, a router, a file server, sensor measurements, RGB controller and many other stuff.

J'ai quand même très envie de monter une radio FM pirate avec le #raspberrypi qui fait rien.
Y'a quelques scripts qui permettent de diffuser un fichier audio sur une fréquence FM donnée. Faudrait que je creuse pour voir si on peut faire plus et diffuser différents audios la suite.

Ich machte einen Versuch mit meinem Raspberry Pi 5, ob die "Files"-App von CasaOS als lokale Mini-Cloud für die mit dem iPhone gedrehten Videos funktioniert. Zuerst den Media-Ordner in CasaOS als SMB freigegeben und danach im Infuse Player (am Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV) verbunden. Voilà: Die auf der SSD vom Pi gespeicherten Filmchen werden angezeigt und lassen sich ruckelfrei wiedergeben.
Für meine spezielle Anforderung eine praktikable Lösung. Und zudem kostenlos, da der Raspberry ohnehin im Heimnetz - u.a. als Immich Foto-Server - läuft. Wenn das künftig weiterhin so problemlos mit den iPhone-Videos funktioniert, dann bleibt das gleich so in Betrieb.
