Because we all know the Raspbery Pi 500+ m.2 port is connected via 1 PCIe Gen 2 Lane that can run as PCIe Gen 3 and in that mode it has 8 GT/s 0,97 GByte/s per Lane.
907 MB/s is pretty much the most you could get throuh from a drive but somehow he claims 2800 MB/s.
Me: I want that Pi 500+

Me: Writes quick comment about SSD result being imposible and 120 Seconds is 2 Minutes not 5. Also pointing out that asking for money for that quality of work is bullshit.

Oui mais attention avec une simple antenne dipôle 2x75cm au bout du fil, l'accord permet d'émettre quand même sur 200m !! en terrain découvert...(et pas quelques m)
du coup il faut faire un peu attention et vérifier qu'on n'écrase pas une radio locale avant de démarrer, c'est gênant et contre productif.

Das ist 5" groß und hat ein kapazitives touchpad. Auf der SD Karte von dem PI war noch ein #Kodi drauf installiert und das, hat das display plug and play erkannt 😃
Ich bin etwas begeistert, dass auch das Touchpad out of the box funktioniert.
Daraus Bau ich als nächstes ein controll panel für mein #homeassistant

PSA if you run a DRAM-less NVME SSD in a Raspberry Pi 5/500+ don't forgt to set
nvme.max_host_mem_size_mb=64
in your /boot/firmware/comdline.txt
after a reboot look in your dmesg for a line that says something like
nvme nvme0: allocated 40 MiB host memory buffer.
That's how much your drive actually requests.
Adjust the value accordingley in cmdline.txt and reboot again.
Raspberry Pi in there limetless wisdom have disabled HMB in fact they had patched it out in earlier kernels.

🧵 What's better than a mantra? Two mantras.
So, I got one of the last ones… a brand new #LSC #MantraLite #DMX / #ArtNet / #sACN lighing console. I think these will soon be discontinued.
Now this one has a #RaspberryPi 3 already in it, so it easily updates to MantraLite firmware 4.x, which I guess is some kind of #Linux.
It turned out that the inability to dim the display backlight in the old, used unit is not a failure, it is… well, broken by design, the new unit can't do it properly either. So the old one isn't broken, it's just a little worn out in general. And still using a RaspPi 2, so it can't be updated beyond 3.x firmware.
I'm not sure if I want to do the hack and solder the necessary custom adapters for the RaspPi 3 I still have here…
… but as it is, the older MantraLite is for sale now, it's in a fully working condition and comes with a tight fitting case. (Located #Ofterdingen, southern Germany)
