Time to ditch my Chromecast devices. Just installed Lyrion Music Server on my Raspberry Pi home server, powered up the ESP32-A1S audio kit I bought recently that has squeezelite-esp32 on it, added the Squeezebox (Lyrion Music Server) integration to my Home Assistant server and bam! instantly there's an awesome track playing in the attic.

@VD15 sadly the latter one necessitates #microSDexpress and it's #PCIe / #NVMe-based #SDexpress interface.
- Personally, I can see this being useful in like #DevKits - not just for the #NintendoSwitch2.
That being said #microSD->#SD adaptors are common in some #industrial / #embedded systems with #RaspberryPi to easily swap OSes and exchange data.
Kinda like that SD adaptor (video via @rasteri)…

Fun weekend #diy #maker project: Pi Zero Tiny computer! I was curious about how low power I could go with a #RaspberryPi Zero 2W with a super power-efficient (but puny) screen. I had a Waveshare 1.44 inch LCD HAT lying around, so I looked up it's chip and found an Adafruit driver that seemed close enough. So, my Raspberry Pi bugs out (stuttering and everything is super slow, maybe the microsd card), no FreshRSS possible with this.
In addition Pi-Hole doesn't install because I have (!) the newest Version of Raspberry Pi OS (I'm so bad... wanting to use a recent version? How dare I...)
Conclusion: I keep using Inoreader for my feeds and adguard dns over https.

Annoyingly, the #RaspberryPi shop couldn't guarantee that their Pico 2 units had the #RP2350 A4 stepping and told me to go to Pimoroni instead! I was hoping to save on postage, but it looks like it's unavoidable.

🥳Unsolicited thrift store good news:
For just wanting the case for my RaspberryPi build, I bought a tiny, about 50 year old portable radio for €0,50. Clearly marked "(Philips, not working)".
I bought, for spare parts, a Scalextric slot care racetrack with two cars, €2. Clearly marked "broken".
What's hilarious is that, not only the radio works fine, the slot car racetrack came with EVERYTHING including spare parts and original untouched car decal sheet.
The racetrack is pretty clear case, I will... AHEM, my boys will play with it as is just fine.
But the radio though. It's cute as a little pig. I can't destroy it for a Pi build. 😁
I feel so lucky. Should I now go buy scratch tickets, chewing tobacco and a Peterbuilt meshback baseball cap? 🤔
