Completed my first ever #AdventOfCode challenges yesterday. Actually kinda fun, perhaps because I knew exactly where to begin than my default brute force approach. Did it in #Python, helped by #uv and #pytest. Will see if I either stick to it, and if I stick to Python (using it a lot on my team right now so good to hone those skills).

Today's Advent of Code puzzle was a master class for why writing notes is powerful professional habit.
I read the puzzle, thought to myself "hmm, I've something similar before" and looked for my notes. Lo and behold, there was a 2015 puzzle I had written about where I found a good starting point to adapt from to this puzzle.

Decided to play with Python on a Mac for a change today because a friend asked me “Why Linux?” And since I’m not an Evangelist, I explained.
I do love Linux, but after telling him that MacOS is basically Linux under the bonnet, he suggested I create my LLM basics there just to ‘prove’ it.
I have no issue with that, so will be pulling the MacBook out later and (hopefully) finding it all works the same with Python, venv, pip, etc. 😂
Be interesting to see what an M1 Mac can do, since I usually only use it for my novels. (Yes, Papyrus 12 and Vellum!)
