I almost always start answering questions with the question "What are you actually trying to do?"
It's something I picked up, weirdly enough, from @glyph and the others in the #python IRC channel back in the day, when people would often come in and ask how to do some bizarre/complex shit...when that was not actually what they needed in the first place.

After mostly writing Python for years I want to learn a few new languages. It really helps to have a human who can answer specific questions about what is going on with a piece code.
I'm looking for people who would be open to answer questions about #elisp #haskell #erlang #elixir #gleam neovim #lua.
I could offer the same for #python and maybe #rust at the beginner level; all my other experience is a bit rusty.
Both sync and async communication would work for me.
