@jezdez Yeah that's true and worth remembering, the Astral devs have been generally pretty good participants in the community so far. But that's mostly because it's been part of their jobs to be good participants in the community, and I think a lot of people are skeptical that that will continue being part of their jobs once the acquisition takes effect. We'll have to wait and see.

I had gotten really good at env management using venv and pip tools
(pip-require pip-compile).
I was also salty that it was not deemed good enough by the cool
kids and people instead used things that belonged in javascript (burn 1).
Python was a breath of fresh air coming out of java dev, but it's
basically a javascript popularity contest now (burn 2).
