“there is an ongoing transition from Python 2 to Python 3” — page 5 of the Census III of Free and Open Source Software, 2024-12

More than one and a half decades after Python 3 got introduced.
Never do an update like #Python 2 to Python 3. Don’t compromise on stability. Find a consensus instead:
A consensus of being stable and being up to date.
The damage you’d cause otherwise would likely be far greater than you expect.

I really don't like the way this one SaaS outputs the changelog as a csv. The who is on a different line than the what, so I can't filter it to the changes made by X or who made changes to Y. Apparently, I got a #Python script to associate change to person, and can in turn filter that output.
✅ Usos del while
✅ While-else: funcionalidad que pocos conocen
✅ break y continue: cuándo usar cada uno
🎯 Ideal para devs que buscan escribir código más robusto y eficiente.

Do you need to change your #Python script's return code depending on whether it fails or not?
Use Python's `sys` module! 🐍🤘
Here's how to do it:

Any #PikminBloom players out there? The arrival of Ice Pikmin 🧊🌱 means that collecting complete sets of decor within an event just got more difficult... 😬
I created a #Python script which simulates the number of seedlings required before and after the addition of Ice Pikmin.

I released `nuee`, a #Python package for multivariate data analysis with a vibe for ecology. The first iteration was written in 2017, I think. Back then, I really wanted to create a course based on Python but tools for multivariate data analysis were scarce. I ended up creating the course material in #Rstats and used the #Rvegan package. Now with vibe coding I really could go deeper, automate tests, and deploy. Have fun, and don't hesitate to open issues! #pydata

In January, the #Python #Software Foundation submitted a grant to #NSF in #USA and was approved for $1.5 million of funding.
Now they have decided to decline the grant, due to conditions imposed by the #Trump administration about #DEI.
