Ah, so I can upload via the browser, just not via the iPhone app itself. So the flow has to be take a video, comvert to mp4, upload via browser.
Less than ideal and that’s a high barrier to entry if I’m trying to get friends to move away from platforms like Instagram.
#mastodon has figured this out well; how is #Pixelfed so far behind?

I’m really sorry, I want to like #pixelfed and use it more, but not being able to upload videos directly from an iPhone is an absolute dealbreaker.
Mastodon seems to not have an issue with uploading HEVC/MOV files, so how is #pixelfed so far behind in this case?
Open source is great cause what I can do is get off my arse and fix it. But I’ve got a few other things to do, so it would be nice if this wasn’t an issue
