#Pinterest sacks workers for creating tool to track job cuts
"Two engineers wrote custom scripts improperly accessing confidential company information to identify the locations and names of all dismissed employees and then shared it more broadly," a company spokesperson told the BBC.
Script created alert for which employee names within a tool like team communication platform Slack were being removed or deactivated, giving insight into who was impacted by the #layoffs.

#Pinterest was interesting but has not been useful or for me usable for some time. It doesn't appear to be a great place to work, either. Taking note of who is fired in a cost-cutting exercise is very ordinary union activity, perhaps they should have one?
