I thought I was cool when I used this structure in php to emulate some aspect of enums in php 7.4:
```
$result = [
1 => fn1(),
2 => fn2(),
3 => fn3(),
][$select] ?? null;
```
The idea is to run a function selected by $select.
I gives the correct $result.
But, apparently all functions are always evaluated, which can potentially have side effects. 🤦♂️
