Just updated my hourly rate for freelance work. I've always been bad at doing this, because I don't want to lose work (especially as incoming enquiries are down), but I have been told that I undercharge and I am probably mid-market whereas my skill-set should put me in the top quarter. There are lots of PHP developers out there but I don't think many have my commercial skills and attention to detail (e.g. documentation and business continuity).

From time to time I'm getting a feedback that Flow #PHP DSL is "ugly".
I disagree! it's just different than what most devs are used to.
Flow DSL is based on underscore, lower case functions that under the hood are creating objects. Yes, Flow is object oriented!

PSA: Check your database indexes today.
I just finished an audit where a single missing index was causing 5s+ load times under load.
Tools like #Laravel Debugbar or Telescope are great for local dev, but you need proper monitoring (OpenTelemetry, etc.) in production to catch real-world bottlenecks.
