Given these movies are so often old enough to be in the public domain, it would be so awesome to do this on Peertube, instead of linking everyone to YouTube! I would happily donate a few bucks each one I virtually attended towards covering the hosting, whether it was done as a live or hosting the movies on Peertube ongoing.

wish I could find solid video content outside of #youtube
I watch some folks from there by way of #peertube and I use #freetube and #newpipe to avoid the algorithm but it's troubling to be stuck with the platform's whims.
I did try to look into some of the others but they seemed full of a bunch of political garbage.

I donβt know if this is new but #YouTube just detected my vpn and asked me to disable it before I could play another videoβ¦. So I deleted the app. Iβm not giving them any more of my data.
Sorry to those creators who I subscribe to but Iβll likely miss your videos now. Iβll happily watch if you publish on another open platform like #PeerTube.
Otherwise I may watch occasionally via invidious but I wonβt be able to support with comments and likes.
