Naja, das betrifft am Ende vor allem Geräte wie ältere Smart-TVs…
… YouTube liefert schon lange wann immer möglich VP9 aus. Und nimmt für Livestreams schon länger AV1 an.
Spannend wird's wohl eher für #PeerTube, da sehe ich überall noch h264, keine Ahnung in wieweit das betroffen ist.
Für den Upload von Videos in höchster Qualität können sowohl YouTube als auch PeerTube zig Formate, z.B. CineForm.
