@Gargron @randahl @anderspuck First of all - being on #PeerTube does not mean you need to leave #Mastodon - you can both follow and interact with videos directly from #Fediverse instance
You can also #boost them (just put the PeerTube URL in the search bar)
You can also follow PeerTube channel into #Podcast applications through #RSS and such.
Yes, UX has some round edges, but if you manage to try, it's quite powerfull tool.
And no, you will not achieve same result with Mastodon. Ever.
Also - it's time to stop talking PeerTube like it was supposed to replace YouTube - it will not. It's an alternative and it's quite bang for the buck actually.

Why don't PeerTube tags show up on Mastodon? And why can't you quote the automated mastodon posts from PeerTube, because that would have been a way to add tags and context to the videos so people who follow a tag (topic) finds them.

Note : 0/10, sans créateurs, pas de spectateurs. Contenu décevant, dommage, on frôle l’indépendance numérique, sauf pour la vidéo et le jeu.
L’Europe critique les GAFAM mais ne finance aucun projet d’envergure, préférant les discours aux actes et à l'armement. Je reste dans le libre et l'indépendance numérique, mais l’espoir s’amenuise de jour en jour !
