Meine „manuelle Reichweite“ im kleinen Fediverse ist also offenbar größer als die „algorithmische Reichweite“ beim Giganten YouTube.

As far as resources, we have no incoming funds. If we want to say, host our own #peertube, someone is going to have to step up and pay for that. We do have a Peertube and Dave has been a great host but this is just an example of things we could do with more cash. I have to delete videos from time to time to stay under the space limit. That is one reason why I dont mind things not being recorded but there are also others such as shared experience which artificial scarcity can create

How We Streamed OpenAlt on Vhsky.cz
We’ve been running Vhsky.cz for almost a year and we know we can provide video-on-demand well, but this month we proved that we can also handle streaming a larger conference. The whole event gave us a great deal of experience, which I have summarized in this blog post.

So sehr ich mir den Erfolg von #PeerTube auch wünsche, es hakt noch an allen Ecken und Kanten. Es dauert zu lange bis Videos anderer Instanzen abgespielt werden und mehr als nur ab und zu mal ruckelt es dabei.
Ob das nun am System an sich liegt, der Instanz auf der ich "zu hause bin" oder am föderiertem Server, von dem der Inhalt kommt, weiß ich nicht. Aber irgendwo ist noch der Wurm drin :S
