Honestly, I find #peertube the weirdest platform. Instances are geared towards publishers. To make an account, you need to be one. They have a mobile app to, supposedly, watch videos, but you can’t follow channels or save favorites unless you have an account in an instance, that you need to be a publisher to create. And following from Mastodon breaks the video-watching experience. So it’s nowhere near a YouTube experience, and certainly not a replacement for it, unless the philosophy is changed

Ho da poco aperto il mio profilo personale e tra qualche giorno andrò a proporre in assemblea ai @Parents4FutureIT di aprire il canale ufficiale dove raccogliere alcuni dei video che abbiamo realizzato per YT (soprattutto webinar sull'attivismo climatico).
Questa è una richiesta di consigli semiseria: nello spazio di un post di Mastodon, provate a convincere un'assemblea di attivisti, quindi bendisposta, ad aprire un canale PeerTube.

Update on the homelab situation. I've went for a Cloudflare Tunnel + Caddy + Docker Compose for everything setup and it's been working well.
Had to buy a new domain to use the tunnel with TLS because Cloudflare only allows second level subdomains if I pay $10/month. The upside is, I now own a 4 short, letter domain name (silly but cheap .eu domain).
The most complicated things is a #PeerTube instance, and the computer is rocking it so far.

Vor einer Woche hochgeladen und dann hat mir das @ZDF ueber nen automatischen Copyright-Claim gleich mal das Video fuer 48h gesperrt.
Dispute ausgefuellt, auf Fair Use berufen. ZDF meldete sich nicht & Youtube hat es dann entsperrt. Noch einmal 4 Tage spaeter erklaert auch das ZDF, dass alles ok war und ich es monetarisieren darf.
Man man ey. Warum?
