Having an issue with #peertube app. When I search for a new platform (instance) I cannot see any videos hence nor subscribe. I can only subscribe to a channel outside where I have my account in @tilvids if i play the video in the browser and let it open in the app, then it reproduces fine an I can subscribe. Any hint?
#Israel told #YouTube to stop streaming #AlJazeera in the country and #Google complied. Maybe they didn't want to, but they're a business who could easily be punished for not complying.
But media is not like selling widgets. Info, opinions and art change societies. A diversity of journalism is required to do civics.
That's why it must be decentralized. Separate pieces become defensible in their own right, forcing them to justify limiting access to their people directly.

When publishing educational videos on #youtube you expose learners to distractions. The promotions which run are made to be maximally distracting. If you want the watchers to learn from your content, you can help them by publishing on a platform which does not show promotions like #peertube or #Nebula
