For my existence is a barren void of hopeless nightmares smothered in the mire of despair;
We reach not for the stars but for the dignity to be, for even though I maybe disabled and trapped within poverty, do I not have a soul, do I not bleed, no I not have value, for the world would rather dispose of people like me, for my pleas for help to transcend despair and stand upon my own are rarely heard, for the times I maybe reached, a trickle in the bucket compared to what little this life truly needs, for I paint the scene with gruesome clarity yet people refuse to see that in an instant they could very well become me, to have empathy to offer true compassion to actually care for me, is you see a way to insure you may never know this overwhelming gravity, for in this black abyss there is no escape for without your help I simply can not be;
