If the tea cup has a chip in it and causes the tea to leak out, does it really matter if it never had any tea to begin with? Now flip the script, if a human is disabled and living in poverty, are they any less valuable than an able bodied wealthy human? As a chipped tea cup could be viewed as worthless despite the care that went into making it, a human is always viewed as worthless unless they are in a position that draws envy of others, and a disabled human existing in poverty only draws scorn from other humans; Far to often the chipped tea cup is placed in the back of the cupboard, where as the disabled human existing in poverty is often tossed out and discarded;
