What Framework is offering doesn't impact me much, they don't have the power to force entire communities to deprecate/disappear. Regardless of what DHH promotes, I'll still use Linux, Rails and user friendly hardware.
With X I really don't have many choices, there's no progressive equivalent of DHH mounting opposition to this stuff. It's just old timers like me getting constantly told to suck it.
