More releases today: New version of thi.ng/genart-api, an art-platform-independent API for browser-based generative art.

The new version (v0.28.0) addresses some recent (type) changes in TypeScript and updates the WebAssembly bindings to support the latest Zig 0.15.1 (just like releases of some of my other projects announced earlier today...)

I don't know who needs to hear this but #valve is not our friend, including in the #opensource community. I am aware that they do many things that have helped us, however their client is closed source, the company is a benevolent dictator model and they have a near monopoly on an enormous swath of the gaming industry.

Combined with their willingness to profit on addictive #microtransactions & knowingly selling games glorifying far right narratives and sexual assault, they are not the good guys.

The AI policy gap is your leadership opportunity.

While 82% of organizations avoid AI governance, smart leaders create simple frameworks that protect AND accelerate innovation. Teams move faster when they know the rules.

My CLEAR framework: Data boundaries, use cases, quality standards, incident plans, regular reviews. 10 minutes to implement, professional protection.

A lil Googling suggests that HARPERS story—which was at least billed on its cover after #DeepBlue in' 97—is gonna be annoying to find. Also, I'm not saying most of reality should not be #open-source. I'm positing/highlighting a place for chess in tracing the path to our present weird circumstances.

So, LWN.net bravely delivers the groundbreaking revelation that is being removed from Debian! 😲🎉 Clearly, this earth-shattering news will be the key topic at all social gatherings from now on. 🙄 Perhaps, next week, they'll tackle the equally riveting saga of wallpaper updates in Linux. 🖼️🤦‍♂️
