MS #mos6502 Basic is now #OpenSource under the MIT license.
It's in a non-archived repo too. Come on... someone do a pull request and see if it gets merged. Better yet? Find a security flaw and require a disclosure.

I was telling my students today not to be too overwhelmed by the idea of scripting. In fact, if you want to did your toes in, try a couple of bash aliases first! They're like training wheels - fast, useful, and gets you thinking about automation and syntax!
