I'm really excited to announce I've finally published the audiobook of Starwitch!

It is AI read, but unlike most, I used open source software you could run on your own computer!

I've chosen Bandcamp for publishing, because unlike all the other stores, they allow AI-read books that don't use big tech's software.

Why does tracking infrastructure changes matter? 🖥️🔄

CloudSnitch is an open-source tool that connects configuration changes in your infrastructure to their root causes. It monitors relationships across systems, users, and apps to help prevent or trace incidents. Imagine knowing *who deployed what* and *when*.

benelux (@benelux@social.opencaching.earth)

This is a brand new account for Opencaching.nl, the free, non-commercial and open-source geocaching website for the Benelux! First started in 2002, we are now home to almost 4000 caches.

We are still a small website compared to the big commercial alternative we all know, but Mastodon seems like a very suitable platform to reach people who aren't afraid of trying an alternative to big commercial platforms!

Many thanks to our neighbours at @oc, who were kind enough to let us join their instance. Hopefully our friends from the other global opencaching networks will join us soon!

Summer is officially over. As the nights draw in it’s time to hunker down and work on our technical debt. We all have Linuxy projects that we planning, so we commit to doing them by Christmas – when we will record a follow-up episode. Docker Compose, Immich, Jellyfin, learning Python, moving away from Synology, Home Assistant, and more.
