#OpenSource ist (auch in 2025) radikal. Viele Leute überfordert das. Im ersten Moment findet nahezu Jeder Open Source toll, egal aus welchem Umfeld/Background/Partei. Wenn man dann aber erklärt, dass OS nicht nur bedeutet, dass der Quelltext veröffentlicht wird, sondern dass JEDER (auch maximalkapitalistische Arschlöcher) deinen Code nehmen können und damit ein Business starten können, dann endet es oft mit dem Verständnis.

Die Uni hat seit 2015 ein TOOL zum Einschreiben entwickelt, das flexibler ist als AlmaWeb. Es wird weiterhin Zeit in die Entwicklung investiert. Schade ist jedoch, dass der PHP-Quellcode nicht öffentlich zugänglich gemacht wird.
Andere Hochschulen stehen vor ähnlichen Herausforderungen. Im schlimmsten Fall entwickeln mehrere Unis parallel und verschwenden damit Steuergelder. Wo liegt das Problem? Ist es die Angst vor Fehlern in der eigenen Software? 🤔
