If you are using the #opensource analytics tool @Matomo, there was no quick way to distinguish the bot traffic the site received. Was it a Search Engine crawler? Was it some unknown custom spider? Was it an #AI bot?
Until recently.
Now with the latest #Matomo release (5.5.x), the statistics show a new distinguished channel type (AI Assistant).
